Der Konzern wurde im Januar 2006 gegründet und im Oktober 2007 als erstes Unternehmen in Deutschland in eine Real-Estate-Investment-Trust-Aktiengesellschaft (REIT-AG) nach deutschem Recht umgewandelt.
