Book translation and publishing company is an Iranian book publisher based in Tehran, founded in 1954.1 It was founded by Ehsan Yarshater.1
بنگاه ترجمه و نشر کتاب، در سال ۱۳۳۳ با ابتکار احسان یارشاطر و به فرمان محمدرضا شاه پهلوی بنیان شد. این بنگاه هدفی فرهنگی داشت و سازمانی ناسودبر بود و بر‌اساس قانون تجارت اداره می‌شد. بنگاه ترجمه و نشر کتاب از سال ۱۳۴۱ فرح پهلوی را به ریاست خود برگزید. در سال ۱۳۴۳ سرپرستی امور مالی بنگاه ترجمه و نشر کتاب به سازمان تازه‌بنیادِ بنیاد پهلوی سپرده شد. پس از انقلاب اسلامی، بنگاه با تغییراتی، زیر سرپرستی بنیاد علوی درآمد.2 From the Persian Wikipedia, CC BY-SA 4.0
