Dasheng Cotton Mill

Dasheng Cotton Mill is a Chinese cultural heritage of China company based in Tangzhazhen Subdistrict.1 It was founded in 1895 by Chang Chien.1

大生纱厂，是清朝光绪二十一年（1895年）张謇在江苏南通创办的一家纺织企业。现大生纱厂旧址为全国重点文物保护单位，现主要建筑遗存包括钟楼、公事厅、专家楼、清花间厂房、仓库、南通纺织专门学校图书馆和宿舍楼、唐闸实业小学教学楼，护厂河，大生码头遗址，南通大生第三纺织公司旧址等，2006年，大生纱厂作为第三批全国重点文物保护单位南通博物苑的扩展项目开始被纳入全国重点文物保护单位。2013年3月，大生纱厂从南通博物苑中分出并与第七批全国重点文物保护单位“南通大生第三纺织公司旧址”合并成一处文保单位，名称为“大生纱厂”。2 From the Chinese Wikipedia, CC BY-SA 4.0
