Mississippi Valley and Western Railway

Defunct American railway

The Mississippi Valley and Western Railway (MV&W) was the name of three different shortline railroads which operated in the U.S. states of Iowa and Missouri. The first company was formed on January 25, 1871, and existed for just five days before merging with a much larger road (itself the product of the merger with three other railroads).2 Wikipedia text CC BY-SA 4.0
