Die MBS ist die größte Sparkasse im Land Brandenburg und mit 11.000 Quadratkilometern die größte Flächensparkasse in Deutschland. Sie ist Mitglied im Ostdeutschen Sparkassenverband und über diesen dem Deutschen Sparkassen- und Giroverband angeschlossen.
