Social Media Association of Japan is a Japanese general incorporated association based in Shibuya, founded in 2020.1

一般社団法人ソーシャルメディア利用環境整備機構（いっぱんしゃだんほうじんソーシャルメディアりようかんきょうせいびきこう、SMAJ）は、日本市場内を対象にソーシャル・ネットワーキング・サービス（SNS）を展開する事業者の日本法人など17社が、子供の性被害（児童ポルノなど）、誤情報の拡散（フェイク・ニュースなど）、ネットいじめや誹謗中傷（個人攻撃）、テロリズムへの悪用、その他の違法・有害コンテンツなど、SNSに関する諸問題の解決を目的に、2020年4月23日に共同で結成・設立した業界団体（2017年に設立の「青少年ネット利用環境整備協議会」が母体）。2 From the Japanese Wikipedia, CC BY-SA 4.0
