Powel var et norsk IT-selskap grunnlagt i Trondheim i 1996 som en avlegger fra Energiforsyningens Forskningsinstitutt (EFI), en del av SINTEF-konsernet, og er en av de mest suksessfulle avleggerne fra SINTEF. Selskapet leverte programvareløsninger og tilknyttede tjenester til energiselskaper, offentlig sektor og entreprenører med kunder i 20 land. Hovedkontoret lå i Trondheim og i tillegg til en rekke kontorer i Norge har Powel kontorer i Sverige, Danmark, Sveits, Polen, Tyrkia og Chile.
